SABRAS QUE TE QUIERO

No other example need be cited to illustrate why Travis Edmonson is the consummate romantic vocalist. After hearing him, who still requires translation of the title to “You Know That I Love You”? A single release from the "Perspective" album, it is also included on the live CD, "The Tucson Tapes 2."
SCARLET RIBBONS
This ballad of tenderness, faith and a parent's love can often be given a treatment so syrupy that it has the opposite effect from that intended, but when Travis Edmonson sings it, it becomes completely fresh again, with all the wonder and warmth in tact.
SCOTCH AND SODA
There's an undeniable enchantment in this song, and it's a wonder that it never came to the fore or was done on any popular recordings beyond The Kingston Trio's. "Scotch and Soda" is one of the special delights of “The Tucson Tapes 2” CD, with Travis Edmonson adding a twist of lemon that just enhances the taste of a good thing.
SHE NEVER LOVED ME (see “CHOCOUNNE”)
SIN TI

It would take a thousand written words to elucidate what Travis Edmonson so completely conveys when he sings those two syllables of the yearning bolero describing life “without you.”
SLOOP JOHN B
When a smile comes so instantly to the lips after listening to these lines for 44 years, as if hearing them for the first time, then there can be no question that this presentation is what charm and talent are all about.
SO LONG, STAY WELL
There is a compelling quality to Travis Edmonson's voice on this song - similarly to be found on “The Web” and “Every Night When the Sun Goes In” - which is both tender and beguiling. The esoteric Art Podell-Rod McKuen ballad, concentrating on the divisions between childhood and adulthood, and the boy lost within the man, is rife with poignancy to begin with, and the Bud and Travis version intensifies all the questions and statements of the lyric.
SOUTH WIND
Rather different than most of Travis Edmonson's other recorded compositions, this powerful song from the debut Liberty album, was happily included on the Collectibles CD "The Best of Bud and Travis." The north wind's chill, which is actually the subject of the song, seems to almost penetrate the bones via the churning rhythm, and if there can be no doubt that the singer has wandered far from the gentle south wind, he knows it when his love says she will only return, "if the sun should freeze or the earth should burn."
