POOR BOY

Another Gateway Singers number, later recorded on the  Bud and Travis “Spotlight” album, but with somewhat different lyrics, this story song about a case of self-defense which netted a murder sentence, has a widespread appeal.  The B&T version was also released as a single, having a much more commercial, pop sound to it.
