Captain BILL RAMSEY , who flies for Northwest Airlines, purchased cherish albums of The Gateway Singers on CD through The Travis Edmonson Collection.
“I am a fan of the Gateway Singers. I especially enjoy listening to the CD of the Gateway Singers at the Hungry I. I have really enjoyed listening to those old songs over the years. Often times I fly across the Atlantic Ocean and recall the words to "The Reuben James". Whenever I fly over upper New York I always look for the Erie Canal and then find myself humming your song.
I'm sure that your music has touched many, many lives. I know that it sure has touched my life in a very positive way.”

GEORGE HERMACH in Oregon has been amassing a comprehensive folk music collection for the past 50 years, and has recently added the new Bud & Travis CDs to it.
”I have to agree with Travis that the love song Malagueña Salerosa is one of the most beautiful in the world, and full of artistry, melody and expressive harmony. To hear all of his different versions (all of them beautiful) is so pleasurable.
The CDs are great. I hope that Travis will continue his recovery. I am proud to be one of his sincere supporters and fans.”

TEE COOK, who made the Army a career, counts “Jenny on a Horse” as one of his favorites from Travis Edmonson's albums.
“I'm a native Arizonan, call Tucson home and went to the University of Arizona in the early 1960s. I feel I grew up with Bud & Travis, and liked all of their songs I ever heard.
I knew Travis was ill but wasn't sure about details or where he is now living. Hopefully he is surrounded by family & friends who love him. I was saddened to learn that he was so seriously ill but gladdened to know that he is still with us. What a great discovery.
Travis and I never met, but he was almost a contemporary as I was only a few years younger. As "local fans" my friends and I always took great pride in knowing he was an Arizonan from Nogales. His Mexican canciones -- ballads & love songs -- are superb.”

GARY ALLEN in Virginia received a special birthday message and CD from Travis Edmonson recently.
“My brother Dwight Allen and I have been fans of yours for 40+ years and he gave me a CD of "Travis on His Own" for my birthday last month. I took it with me on a European cruise and played it for the first time doing laps around the upper deck of our cruise ship as we sailed across the Bay of Biscay; I hadn't heard the LP in years and so it brought back a lot of memories. And still sounds wonderful, of course.

I've always enjoyed the Spanish/Mexican music Travis (and Bud) did; on another cruise a couple years ago in a Mexican port a group of troubadors sang "Los Dos" for my wife and me at my request, a song I surely would never have heard without Travis Edmonson.“

CHRIS MORALES in California wrote in to this website when he first rediscovered Travis Edmonson's music earlier this year. Meanwhile, he's purchased many CDs from The Travis Edmonson Collection, and has become very knowledgeable about the singer's talents.
“WOW! Simply put, there was no one like Travis Edmonson and Bud Dashiell. They were doing "World Music" 30 years before anyone coined the term. They were superb singers, musicians and entertainers, and that is particularly apparent on "Spotlight on Bud & Travis."
B&T could tackle any type of material, from Broadway show tunes, to African sing-alongs, and still sound like themselves. It is a sign of greatness that no matter what material they are performing, you can readily identify the performer before the song.
I have purchased nearly all of the B&T discography from travisedmonson.com. The sound quality is superb and it is music that you never tire of listening to!”

Ron Wise in Montreal is a special fan of the Travis Edmonson song “South Wind.”
“I'm a huge fan of THE KINGSTON TRIO, and one of my favourite KT songs is "SOUTH WIND" (from the Trio's "String Along" album).
Once I heard BOB SHANE's idol was TRAVIS EDMONSON. Well, 'nuff said. I had to see why, and HEAR why!!! I bought some Bud & Travis albums and I was hooked. They were so great I lent them to my girlfriend at that time, but when we broke off she NEVER gave them back. Can't blame her. She had great taste in music.
I wish TRAVIS EDMONSON a speedy recovery, and to know that all of his fans love him, cherish him and wish him the very best of Good Health and Good Cheer."

COZETTE HAGGERTY in Massachusetts had the chance to meet Travis Edmonson at Trio Fantasy Camp, and has been a fan ever since.
“the highlight of my weekend was Travis Edmonson's singing in the "hospitality Suite" - truly some of the sweetest music I've ever heard! You could drop a pin in that place - it was just amazing!
I've been a huge John Stewart fan for years, but wish I could have heard Travis' music years sooner! I'm thoroughly enjoying the Latin Album and "The Best of Bud & Travis" CD.
The night I heard Sin Ti was very sweet! Two other special numbers Travis Edmonson sang at Fantasy Camp were Cloudy Summer Afternoon and Bonsoir Dame.
Best wishes to Rose Marie and Travis, and may he continue to sing like that for many years to come! It was truly the highlight of my weekend!”
